Chicken Dinner 2024! Thank you all for your support in the many different ways! 🐓

October 24th will be Pink Out & Tye Dye Day! We are doing this in honor of Breast Cancer, Dyslexia and Alzheimers Awareness. Face painting will be available and start at $1. *Students may wear school appropriate jeans this day.

Tomorrow is a Giving Field day for students in grades one through eight. All students may wear jeans and their Giving Field T-shirt or regular school uniforms.

To our many volunteers, especially Rose Martin, Joseph Guidry, and Regius Guillory; to the many parents, friends, and community members who donated time, talent, and treasure; to the Sertoma club of Port Arthur who smoked our meat; to our student council and its sponsor, Latina Robertson; to our students, faculty, and staff -- we thank you for all you did to make our 2024 chicken dinner fundraiser a rousing success! We love you!

Please remember there is no school lunch in the cafeteria tomorrow. Students should plan to buy a chicken dinner for $10 or bring a lunch from home. Drive up purchases are available still tomorrow. Come buy lunch for your office 10:30-3:00. See you tomorrow!

St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica will host a blessing of the animals this Friday, October 4, in the plaza at 6:10. SACBS students are invited and encouraged to attend with their pet. St. Francis of Assisi, ora pro nobis!

We will be praying the 54 day rosary novena for our school. We would love for you to join us! It will end on Sunday, November 24, which is the feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. We are on the precipice of a major renewal in our school! 🙏🏻

To exercise the mind, a child must exercise the body. Recess and play are two essential elements of our Catholic classical curriculum. This enables students to develop relationships and social skills as well.
